Rent a car at Alghero Airport

Good experience, no hidden fees. But we found it difficult to find a way to the parking lot in order to return the car, it cost us some nerves.

Returning our car at the Alghero airport was very easy. The signage is easy to follow and the staff very friendly and helpful. And it’s a short walk to the airport entrance.

Very kind, very flexible after problems occurred for us. We were able to continue our vacation because Lorenzo at Italy rent Alghero stepped up. It was almost heroic. Even a flat tire situation, later in the vacation, was easily resolved by a swap of the car in Cagliari. About the bad reviews, just take the insurance and you'll have the best experience.

Excellent - everything as I would expect. Car in very good condition and clean, including child seats. Even though someone crashed the car, we were able to reach them immediately to solve the situation. We had a full cover and noone made any problems. Deposit paid with debit card a returned quickly.

The agents were incredibly kind and proactive, offering us the best deal along with complimentary upgrade options. We ended up with a brand-new car at a fantastic price. I had forgotten a sweater in the car, and they promptly shipped it back to me within a couple of days. Truly impressive service—highly recommended!

I have rented a mini car (Fiat 500 or similar), and received a superior class (Citroen C3 AirCross) and it was just great! The client service was amazing, the pick-up and drop-off process was super smooth. We rented with full insurance, there was no excess (if we consider like no excess the 1 euro blocked on my credit card, that was released the day I returned the car); the gas tank was full and we returned the same - so we could travel from the day 1 with no worries. Highly recommend!

I booked a car on the website. They offered the cheapest option with the full insurance. My flight had 3 hours delay, I got a free upgrade so I got a better car. Everything was fine, just you should buy insurance.

Leaving a review as I found it so hard to decide which rental company to go for as none of them had good reviews. The experience was way better than I thought as long as you are prepared yourself then there is no issues. Picked the car up, gave my credit card which they took a eur 900 hold. Make sure you are prepared with a credit card. They gave me a very nice new hybrid polo, car was great very economical and smooth. For those saying they got a different car than they booked that is the case for all rentals. You are booking a category eg mini, small, SUV etc. The rental is obliged to provide the car within the category you book or better. In our case we got upgraded. The agent pointed out the existing damaged to the car. We took our own photos/videos of interior/exterior to protect ourselves. Drop off was really easy. Arrived at the airport at 5am outside of the opening hours. Dropped keys in letter box and parked car. Received checkout report via email confirming no damages or extra charges. Again, took my own videos and photos. Very simple. With regards to insurance, there's the option to buy if you don't want the hassle of any potential damage. I didn't as I have my own policy which would cover in the extent of any damage. Overall hassle free and easy experience as long as you read what you are signing up for and have a credit card!

Only one real complaint...as we arrived more than one hour early (pickup time 12 noon) we were informed that our car was not ready yet but that to get going we could upgrade and be on our way imediately once the paperwork is complete, well that sounded great and an upgrade as well happy days... Yes you guessed it the upgrade would cost €170... So as we were now only about one hour to go to our original pickup time we decided to wait in a shaded spot overlooking the car rental parking area... low and behold ... Yes you guessed it again... Come the time to pick up our car it turns out we were sat not 10ft away from it and not one car moved in all that time in that area ? And yet again you guessed it...as it states in the car rental agreement if the car you "emagin" you have rented is misteriosly not available an equivalent car will be provided ... You could nearly see it on there faces bet you wished you upgraded now 😂 But as I stated at the start my one gripe is, THE SCAM OF GETTING PEOPLE To UPGRADE For... "BEING EARLY "...
