We had a good experience with italy car rent. Very smooth and good communication throughout. Make sure you have a credit card on your (driver) name. They give you a report with previous damages on the car but make sure to still take pictures and be cautious whilst driving parking etc and you should be fine!

In the rental shop just a short distance from the terminal, we were served by friendly, kind and helpful staff. Check-in was done in a few minutes. Returning the car was also a snap. The car - a Ford Tourneo 9 seats was in good condition, perfectly cleaned and fragrant. Very serious and friendly service. Highly recommended.

We had a great experience with Italy Car Rent. Based about 400m from Pisa Airport in the Car Rental area where all the companies have their stands/offices. Well signposted from the airport exit and so easy to find. A lovely lady greeted us at the desk, we signed the paperwork that I'd already read through as it came with our booking t&cs and went to collect the car from the Kiosk outside. We'd booked a 208 but ended up with a 2008, which was an unexpected bonus. Took a video and noted no damage, scratches etc on the car and off we went for our week in the Tuscan hills The return was just as smooth, car returned to the Kiosk, inspection with the agent who noted no issues, and off we went with the deposit holding returned to my credit card. Wanted to share a review to reassure people that rental companies can operate fairly as long as you read and understand the T&Cs before booking!

Buy the additional insurance they offer and save yourself the headache! If you are using this company make sure you take out their additional insurance when you collect your keys. It’s called Super Kasko Plus, read the terms and conditions in the small print. It covers a lot. Yes it’s an additional expense but it’s so worth it. Driving in Sicily isn’t exactly easy, road conditions, roadside shrubs which can easily scratch the car. It will be picked up on! The car rental itself was £280 and the insurance was £225. For a week of unlimited use that’s good value. (This isn’t a sponsored review, just someone who’s done the research on european car rental)

I cannot recommend Italy Car Rent enough. After being left stranded by the much larger, internationally-renowned SIXT Rental Car company (who refused to honor a prepaid booking due to a system error on their side), the team here stepped in immediately. They were professional, efficient, and turned a very stressful situation into a seamless experience. They provided a great vehicle and were straightforward and easy to work with! Italy Car Rent gets lot of bad reviews because it's very easy to scratch a car in the narrow streets of Italia; and they do scrutinize returns. But you can avoid issues by paying for their insurance or putting it on a credit card that has insurance. We rent out of the Pisa airport A LOT and will definitely be using Italy Car Rent as our main vendor going forward (and never again SIXT!!!). Five stars to Italy Car Rent (and especially to Alessia!) for the service and the peace of mind.

We picked the car up in Catania. Once we had found the car rental office at the airport, everything was super efficient and quick. The Sat Nav was not updated so sent us on a bit of a wild goose chase for our villa, but otherwise everything was great. The drop off was very easy and quick as well. Would use them again.
