Rent a car at Cagliari Airport

Qick pick-up and fast return. Everything went smoothly. We had Super Casco, quiet expansive but leaves you with no worries.

Everything was great: the pick-up was very fast, the car was a good Nissan Qashqai in perfect condition with only 10,000 km behind, and the return was quick too. I have only positive impressions.

We rented a Cosa. The car was clean and in very good mechanical condition. We rented the car at a reasonable price. Returning it was easy. The service was good and friendly.

First time rental experience with ItalyByCar reserved via Booking.com. . All went smoothly with a good car at a good price. Would use them again on our next trip to Italy.

Nothing to complain about. The office is at the airport, and the cars are just across the road. The staff were friendly and professional. The car had many scratches, but all of them were already recorded on their tablet when I returned it. Just remember to take plenty of photos of the car, including the wheel rims, to avoid any misunderstandings at return.

Italy car rent (Cagliari airport) is always my first choice time after time. The office is conveniently accessed in the arrival hall, late closing and fast processing, with cars directly outside the front. Drop off is also stress free with a kiosk in their dedicated carpark, straight outside the airport main entrance

Very bad initial experience. But one staff made it all better. We arrived 45 minutes early to pick up but the big blonde lady at the desk was shockingly rude and said we need to wait until the time of our booking and they do not have a car for us now. From our experience the paperwork takes a while to get through so not sure why she wouldn't start it. She made us wait until the exact time we booked for before our voucher could be processed. Yet when we went out to get the car there were at least 10 cars the Italy Car Rent spots. She just didn't want to help us. Even if there really was no car, she should have been more polite about it. She pretty much threw my voucher back at me, never said hello/Ciao/Buongiorno, etc. Lucky for us when the 45 minute waiting period passed, her shift was over and there was another young, brown haired lady which was much kinder and even went so far as to make a call on her phone for us to switch the insurance we purchased with booking.com to the one the rental agency offers. Our phone could not make the call. She was kind person who unfortunately has to work with someone who should NOT be in customer service. Because of our experience with the first big blonde lady we will not use Italy Car Rent next time we go to Elmas. It's unfortunate someone like this can do damage to a business, especially one that deals in customer service. On the other hand, we really appreciated the other dark haired lady going over and above - thanks to her for going over and above the call of duty! Wish our whole experience was only with her. The car was excellent and process to return in Alghero was smooth and quick.

Not bad - although when we returned the car they wanted to charge us for damage! Make sure you take photos of when you get the car as proof!! It is very conveniently located to airport

All in all - I had a very good experience with this rental company. I got completly new car, that was clean and in good condition. I was told that the car had no demages, but knowing how it works I spent some time to check on my own. I found about 10 scratches and a small dent. If I hadn’t done so, I believe it might be fairly costly…I took photos and video and asked the stuff to note all these damages in the protocol. Returning the car was smooth and stuff did not even try to “invent new demages”. I did not go for the full insurance coverage as it is possible to buy “excess insurance” with AXA in the Czech republic. Which I did in advance. It costed me some 20 EUR, so even if I got in the situation to hve to pay the excess on any damage, I was covered up to 1600 EUR. Unlike some other rental companies, stuff in Italy Car Rental was not trying to scare/force me into purchasing the full insurance. One thing that I did not like is that the fuel policy “full to full” was not followed. You end up by mostly likely purchasing more fuel when returning the car, then you would normaly do. So, if you are prepared and careful, you would not have any problems with Italy Car Rent :) Glad to recommend them.

We could not rent a car due specifically needing a credit car ar the name of the driver. Still the staff was extremely kind and patient, spent a lot of time explaining and looking for solutions.

Very good experience renting a car from Cagliari/elmas. Car was in great condition and the kiosk is conveniently located just as you come out of arrivals. Car was full of diesel. Easy to deal with and good English among the staff, very good experience overall. Would highly recommend.

One of the best car rental experiences we've ever had! We hadn't booked a car before flying to Cagliari, as we were still deciding whether we would need one. Since we arrived late at night and were tired, we made a last-minute decision to rent a car. Italy Car Rent was our first stop — and we’re so glad it was! The woman at the front desk was absolutely wonderful: friendly, helpful, and patient. She assisted us in choosing the right car and even helped us with our request to pay the deposit in cash. We opted for the full coverage insurance, which was fairly priced — not as expensive as we’d heard from other companies. The entire process went smoothly, including the return. The staff member who checked the car on return was professional and kind. Overall, we highly recommend Italy Car Rent. Highly recommend! my second time renting with Italy car rent, First time I rented with full insurance and second time without any insurance, had no dramas both times, was super easy and very affordable. The inspection during drop off without insurance was in depth but not over the top, they didn’t have any remarks after our rental for 5 days.
