Rent a car at Cagliari Airport

I recently hired a car from Italy Car Rent in Sardinia and overall had a good experience. The booking process was straightforward, and the car itself was reliable and well suited to our trip.

As expected, there was some encouragement to purchase additional protection products when collecting the vehicle. I had booked through a third-party provider that already included excess insurance, so I chose not to take the extra cover offered. I did, however, take out the breakdown cover directly with Italy Car Rent for additional peace of mind.

The only slight negative was during vehicle collection. The paperwork showed just one area of damage, but when I reached the car, I noticed several marks and scratches that seemed more significant than what had been recorded. When I raised this with the member of staff, she advised that the damage was not considered significant and suggested that I simply take photographs before leaving. While this wasn't ideal, taking photos ensured I had a record of the car's condition.

Despite this, the rental itself went smoothly, and I had no issues during the hire period or on return. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I would happily use Italy Car Rent again in the future.

Didn't get the car we requested when booked (3 months in advance), but a suitable alternative was offered together with some free fuel to compensate. Car was new and fine, although I had to adjust the tyre pressures as they were too high (maybe the heat?) All fine though, and the position of the collection and drop off just outside the Cagliari airport terminal is perfect.

Great staff, easy access and afordable prices. Many thanks especially to Martina, who gave us really good and fast service. Highly recommend! Our car was a new Peugeot. We loved it!

This is the third year that I have hired a rental car from this company and I have to say I am completey confused by any negative reviews. The staff - especially Alessia and Mirianda couldn't do more to make our rental effortless and with a great quality of vehicle. Literally off the plan - 5 min walk to their desk in the airport - get the keys and cross the road to where the cars are parked. Couldn't be easier! They always do their best to give you the car you prefer and even without the kasko insureance they returs staff are very kind and fair. All in all I would have given then 6* for the value for money and quality of service, so please don't hesitate to book with them (check my other reviews to see that I'm a genuine customer) .

Altough we had a car with navigation it was pretty complicated to use, you need the exact address otherwise it wouldn’t find your destination. The car was very good and Antonella from the rental company really helped us out with checking out the car. Thank you for that, when we returned the car the check up was done in minutes. Good service.

Qick pick-up and fast return. Everything went smoothly. We had Super Casco, quiet expansive but leaves you with no worries.

Everything was great: the pick-up was very fast, the car was a good Nissan Qashqai in perfect condition with only 10,000 km behind, and the return was quick too. I have only positive impressions.

Nothing to complain about. The office is at the airport, and the cars are just across the road. The staff were friendly and professional. The car had many scratches, but all of them were already recorded on their tablet when I returned it. Just remember to take plenty of photos of the car, including the wheel rims, to avoid any misunderstandings at return.
