Rent a car at Pisa Airport

Italy Car Rent to the rescue— not once but twice! We arrived in Pisa and had the wrong dates on our Hertz reservation. Staring down 900€ for a 2-door stick shift, Alessia at ITC came through with a fully automatic 4-door for a fraction of the price. We even had our choice of color. Mwa! On the return, we had 4 minutes to make it to the train station and had just missed the shuttle. But fear not, review reader, for Mateo hopped into action. We leapt back into our rental car and he whisked us off to the train station, with seconds to spare! Grazie Mille, ITC!

Quick pick up and drop off process. No hard sell on insurance. Bought my own in UK as local car hire companies are incredibly expensive.
Not aware of any scratches to car during rental and nothing identified by agent

I had a good experience with this company last week in Pisa. Despite seeing quite a few negative reviews, which made us a little nervous, everything went very smoothly.

The staff at the desk were very helpful both when picking up and returning the car. Communication was clear, and the inspection process was very well handled.

There was only one negative moment during the pickup. Before taking the car, I made 2–3 videos and a few photos to document its condition and make sure there were no issues regarding existing damage. I then approached one of the staff members in the parking/pickup area because I had another question about the car and the rental process. However, he focused on the fact that I had taken several photos and videos, saying things like, “You made two videos and so many photos, what do you want now?” I tried to explain that my question was actually about the car/process and not about the damage documentation, but he continued in the same way and told me to take the car.

This was the only unpleasant part of the experience. Apart from that interaction, everything else was very good, and I would definitely give the company 5 stars overall.

I had booked through a 3rd party and specifically needed a large space for luggage - unfortunately - the initial vehicle boot was not big enough - the team member here went out of his way to find another vehicle and found one and the turnaround was quick and no extra charge - very impressive
The car was a dream to drive - very clean inside and no issues whatsoever.
There was a little bit of confusion when we returned the car, initially the team thought i had damaged the car in two areas - luckily i had taken photos on collection (this applies to all rental companies) and once i provided these photos, all charges were cancelled - again very impressive
i would happily use Italy Car rent again at Pisa airport - it's a great team here

Efficient and friendly collection and drop-off. Car in great condition. €900 insurance deposit is a bit rough, especially when some agencies are moving away from that now. Overall very satisfied.

Awesome car hire experience on our trip to Tuscany. The collection was very quick and straightforward, as was the drop-off at the end of our trip. A very good car was supplied, very clean and exactly what we needed. A big thank you to all of the friendly staff.

I cannot recommend Italy Car Rent enough. After being left stranded by the much larger, internationally-renowned SIXT Rental Car company (who refused to honor a prepaid booking due to a system error on their side), the team here stepped in immediately. They were professional, efficient, and turned a very stressful situation into a seamless experience. They provided a great vehicle and were straightforward and easy to work with! Italy Car Rent gets lot of bad reviews because it's very easy to scratch a car in the narrow streets of Italia; and they do scrutinize returns. But you can avoid issues by paying for their insurance or putting it on a credit card that has insurance. We rent out of the Pisa airport A LOT and will definitely be using Italy Car Rent as our main vendor going forward (and never again SIXT!!!). Five stars to Italy Car Rent (and especially to Alessia!) for the service and the peace of mind.

Relatively quick pick-up (it was after 9 PM). The car seat for an infant (<1yo) was poor quality and in bad condition (it’s best to bring your own if you're traveling with a baby that young), but it did the job in the end. We received a car in the class we booked; it was relatively clean inside, with a few minor dents on the outside (but hey, it’s Italy), which wasn't an issue for us. CarPlay worked via cable (with occasional dropouts). No one pushed hard for extra insurance, which I consider a huge plus. Upon return, the fuel gauge wasn't quite at the very top (just like when we picked it up), even though we filled the tank to the brim 10 minutes before dropping it off. The staff had a slight issue with this, but after we showed them the gas receipt, the employee accepted our explanation and we signed the return paperwork. The security deposit was released immediately (another huge plus). Overall, I can recommend this company.

I highly recommend this Car Rental Company. It was our wedding weekend and our flights were delayed, baggage was lost and Stefano was so kind to hold our car for the following day which I know is not always so common. He was very kind and communicative with us. Our car was very nice, economic, & clean. I will definitely be renting from this company in Pisa again! Thank you Stefano!!! You don’t know how grateful we are.

All was fine, I picked up a car late in the evening and all was smooth- I was informed about the state of the car which had some dents and scratches on the body, I got upgrade to a bigger suv than I booked (which was a bit inconvenient as i am not use to driving such a big car) but i was being careful all the time while driving. I had private insurance and didnt get any feeling i was being pressured to buy theirs. The lady just explained that they need deposit and all issues shall be explained with my insurer. Upon the return they checked the car and that’s all. All in all positive experience.

I hired a car for a weeks holiday in Italy. I am English. The introduction did everything I could ask. A car in perfect condition. the satnav explained in English so it guided me to my destination over 150 km across country. Signed off politely on my return with no problem.
